Outside Pier 39 you'll find lots of locals performing for donations, these performances range from musical to robotic dancing to homeless folk scaring the tourist from behind a bush. The formal Pier 39 entertainment occurs inside Pier 39 on the Geyser stage. The stage is in the center of Pier 39 and features new acts all the time. Performers ask for a few bucks as they pass the hat if you liked the show. These entertainers work very hard perfecting their act and in many cases perform dangerous acts such as fire juggling. If you stop and watch the show be sure to drop a few dollars in the hat to keep them coming back to Pier 39.
